Use video to connect with your website visitors.

We recently started creating video to be used on our parent company’s website. We also firmly believe our website customers can benefit by including some form of video on their website. It can be a simple welcome message using a webcam to a video commercial produced by a professional. You’d be surprised what you can do with a $100 webcam, decent lighting and an uncluttered background. Here is an example of how we can integrate video into a website:
This is a basic example of a “talking head” video. Tom Stempora, our software and website sales rep, is the subject of the video. This video is used to thank the visitor for taking the time to learn about our product.
Benefits of adding Video to your website:
- Instant connection with visitor.
- Increases visitor’s confidence in your services/products.
- Can be streamed and almost instantly viewed by visitor.
- Inexpensive way to personalize your website and stand out from the crowd.
What You Need
- You can get away with just using a $100 webcam and some type of plain wall background or sheet. Just make sure you light your face. On a budget, you can use a simple desk lamp.
- As an option, you can use a camcorder. However, it can be time consuming to get the video from the camera to your computer.
Then, just upload the video to us with our upload tool and we’ll do all the work. We can even add some basic titles and name cards if you desire. If you already have a video commercial (I know some of you do), you can just mail us a copy and we’ll include it on your website!
